Oil Spill Map & Impact
The BP oil spill is by far one of the worst in the history of the United States. In the wake of the Deepwater Horizon tragedy, there was over 4.9 million barrels of crude oil which had been released into the Gulf of Mexico. This, obviously, had a devastating impact on the surrounding area – contaminating just less than 500 miles of coastline. Below, there is an infographic discussing the timeline of the event, as well as the consequences of the spill both immediately and in the future. At Arnold & Itkin, LLP, we encourage you to read through this graphic interpretation of the incident to become more informed about what exactly happened and how it will affect your case.
